About Me

In September 2001, just days after 9/11, I was crowned Miss America 2002...and my adult life unfolded from there. I feel blessed beyond words to sing beautiful music professionally, speak with women's groups about truth in beauty, create all sorts of goodies for my Etsy business {Ma Chère Finery}, speak up for cancer patients & the Arts, raise two lovely albeit very active children, and manage a small “gentleman’s” farm in the countryside of Southern Oregon with my husband. The impetus for {The Full Measure} are quantifiers: a measure marks time in music, measurements aid the creation of fashion and design, plus we – as members of society – strive to “measure up” to standards set by ourselves or others each day of our lives. I hold fast to the guidance of Luke 6:38 (NIV): “Give and it will be given to you: A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” I want {The Full Measure} to be a window into how to keep striving for a life loved and well lived…a bit of music, design and musings about the little measurements of daily life that impact a lifetime of fulfillment.
